  • We will not deliver to a P.O. Box

  • The Shipping/Handling charge includes a reusable styrofoam cooler with gel packs

Shipping & Return Policy

You can trust that your order from Seafood Market Sarasota will be quickly processed and safely delivered. We can ship products anywhere in the continental United States using USPS. When you place an order, we will estimate delivery dates based upon the availability of your item(s), shipping method selected and your shipment’s destination. Our shipping charges are determined by the total pound amount of your order, excluding applicable sales tax. 

Seafood Market Sarasota and or USPS are not liable for losses due to bad weather. There will be no refunds given. Loss or damage due to acts of God, natural disasters, war risks, acts of terrorism, nuclear damage, acts of public authorities acting with actual or apparent authority, acts or omissions of customs or similar authorities, authority of law, the application of security regulations imposed by the government or otherwise applicable to the shipment, riots, strikes or other labor disputes, civil unrest, disruptions in national or local air or ground transportation networks (including, but not limited to, USPS’s transportation network), disruption or failure of communication and information systems, or adverse weather conditions. 

Some products cannot be shipped to select destinations so please submit a message to us from the Contact Us page if you would like to discuss special ordering options.

  • We cannot accept online orders that are shipped to Alaska or Hawaii or to a PO Box.
  • Any incorrect addresses on an order may delay your order. Please be sure to double check your order prior to submitting.
  • We cannot refund a refused or USPS returned seafood order. Please be sure your address is correct.

Cut-off time: for orders placed over the internet is 1:00 p.m. EST, all week. All orders received after 1:00 p.m. EST will be shipped the following business day (If you need a package shipped after the cut-off time, please call our 941-536-7153 number. We may still be able to ship it.).

Shipping Method: Orders shipped using USPS Next Day Air cannot be delivered on Saturdays. 

No Saturdays or Sundays: There are **NO** deliveries!

All PERISHABLE orders are shipped by USPS and are shipped in styrofoam boxes, refrigerated using frozen gel-packs and/or dry ice. (Be careful when handling dry ice) There is NO charge for packing materials.

All NON-PERISHABLE orders are shipped using USPS guaranteed within 1-5 business days, unless specified otherwise.

NO International shipping: We are currently shipping in the United States only.


Delivery Terms: Seafood products are very perishable. All our shipments are packed with ample refrigerant to maintain the product in average weather conditions for the shipping period (estimated conservatively to allow for some extra time). It is recommended that someone be available to receive shipments from Seafood Market Sarasota upon delivery, or shortly thereafter. If you are sending a gift to someone, please notify them when to expect the delivery. If no one is available, and the package is left unattended for an extended period (especially in hot climates), we cannot guarantee that the seafood will remain in good condition.

Upon receipt we recommend that you unpack the shipper contents as soon as possible and store the seafood in the refrigerator and/or freezer, as appropriate, to maintain optimum freshness. The shipping containers may not be suitable for storing your product after receipt.

Please check the shipping address carefully for errors. We cannot guarantee shipments that USPS is unable to deliver.

Availability: Due to ever changing weather and supply conditions out of our control, occasionally an item will become unavailable after an order is placed. Should that happen we will contact you as soon as possible to discuss substituting another item of equal or greater value, or changing the delivery timing.

Spoiled or Damaged: If your order is spoiled or damaged due to negligence by Seafood Market Sarasota or USPS, we will replace it free-of-charge. If you receive an order that you suspect is spoiled, damaged, or incorrect in any way, please do not discard the contents. Contact us immediately at 941-536-7153. We may request that you return the order to us for inspection. If you are dissatisfied with your order, you must notify our office by phone or email within 24 hours after receipt.
